Clinical Use Testing of

Test Purpose
This microbiology lab test is
designed to evaluate the
efficacy of the client's product
and recommended disinfection
practices using clinically used
medical devices, (typically
endoscopes).
Test Summary
The clinical devices are
subjected to cleaning and
disinfection procedures using
either the client's recommended
instructions or following the
device manufacturer's
recommended cleaning and
disinfection instructions.
Following the reprocessing
(cleaning and disinfection)
procedures, the devices are
quantitatively recovered for
survivors. Appropriate controls
to verify neutralization and
device populations are
performed.
