EPA Laundry Additives Sanitizer Test

Test Purpose
The purpose of this microbiology lab test is to evaluate the efficacy of a client's laundry product in reducing the microorganism population in fabric and wash water following a single simulated laundry process to comply with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other regulatory agency requirements.

Test Summary
Fabric carriers are inoculated with a suspension of the test organism(s) and dried. Each test formulation is exposed to the inoculated fabric swatches in a simulated laundry operation. Following exposure, the test fabric carriers and wash water are quantitatively assayed for survivors. Appropriate test organism population and neutralization controls are performed.
