AATCC 30 Test III
Mildew and Rot Resistance of
Textile Materials
Test Purpose
The purpose of this fungicidal
test is to demonstrate
effectiveness of a client’s
product intended for use to
control, prevent, or inhibit the
growth of Aspergillus
brasiliensis (formerly known as
Aspergillus niger) on textile
materials to comply with the
U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency and other regulatory
agency requirements.
Test Summary
Textile materials are treated
with the client’s test substance
and allowed to dry. The material
is then inoculated with
Aspergillus brasiliensis and
incubated at high humidity.
After, incubation, the fabric is
visually examined for the
presence of test organisms.
